TIE Blog Two

During my voice thread lesson I wouldn’t have changed anything I did, but I would have added a few additional videos showing more student interaction. Although I did interact with my students and they interacted with each other during the lesson, I didn’t film it. Giving the students’ a variety of options to choose from to create their patterns worked very well. Each student was able to choose a group of manipulatives to make either an ab or abc pattern. I would ask each of them to “show me an ab or abc pattern,” to increase their knowledge of pattern vocabulary. Next time I would create an example of a more difficult pattern to challenge the students, and have them attempt to create their own new pattern. This would show a better example of student/teacher interaction.

How could I have made my voicthread more interactive?

Should I have had them use more than one set of manipulatives?

Was reading the patterns aloud enough verification they understood how to create the pattern?
